{"id":21,"date":"2010-07-27T09:03:03","date_gmt":"2010-07-27T13:03:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.irasperipheralvisions.com\/WetPaint\/?p=21"},"modified":"2010-11-25T14:30:17","modified_gmt":"2010-11-25T19:30:17","slug":"welcome-to-wet-paint-v3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irasperipheralvisions.com\/WetPaint\/welcome-to-wet-paint-v3.htm","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to Wet Paint v3."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to <a title=\"Wet Paint Journal\" href=\"..\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wet Paint<\/a>.\u00a0 It\u2019s a privilege to have this little piece of blank canvas on line and I thank you for visiting it.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m  Karen Shapiro.\u00a0\u00a0 I write the entries and unless otherwise noted, I take  the photos and do the illustrations.\u00a0 Born and raised in Brooklyn, New  York, I still live here with my husband, Ira, and our two grown  children.<\/p>\n<p>Ira and I run a mom and pop operation called <a title=\"Ira's Peripheral Visions\" href=\"..\/..\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ira\u2019s Peripheral Visions<\/a>.\u00a0  We design announcements, note cards and invitations for the general  public, and all sorts of print promotion (theater programs, postcards,  flyers, press kits) for a couple of small dance companies.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been  in business since 1983; on line since 1996 .<\/p>\n<p>After hours, I can be  found in New York City\u2019s dance studios, galleries, museums, book stores  and theaters, or working in the back office of the <a title=\"DeMa Dance Company\" href=\"http:\/\/www.demadancecompany.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">DeMa Dance Company<\/a>.\u00a0  I hold a Bachelors of Architecture and I practiced in New York City for  ten years.\u00a0\u00a0 My main interest is in modest and small scale dwellings  using sustainable materials and design.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to Wet Paint.\u00a0 It\u2019s a privilege to have this little piece of blank canvas on line and I thank you for visiting it.
