{"id":88,"date":"2012-03-07T12:11:15","date_gmt":"2012-03-07T12:11:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vsdcnews.org\/?page_id=88"},"modified":"2013-10-24T17:54:50","modified_gmt":"2013-10-24T17:54:50","slug":"vsdcnews_contribute","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/irasperipheralvisions.com\/dancestudio\/vsdcnews_contribute.htm","title":{"rendered":"Contribute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nutcracker 2013 Fund Raiser for the Vicky Simegiatos Dance Company<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to a last minute change of venue for our annual Nutcracker production,we found ourselves in need of your support.<\/p>\n<p>Poly Prep informed us that we will not be able to rent their facility for our performances due to the earlier than anticipated renovations that are taking place in the surrounding area of the theater.<\/p>\n<p>We made a huge effort to search for other venues. However, with such sort notice, all of the places we contacted in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and Staten Island were booked, with the exception of one &#8212; The St. George Theatre in Staten Island. Not only does it have our desired dates available, but it is also a far superior theater than the one we have grown accustomed to for so many years. It is multi-million dollar, historic facility that has left us quite impressed.<\/p>\n<p>We visited the premises of this theater and we&#8217;re more than pleased to find that it was fully equipped with all the features that could bring our Nutcracker to life. It also offers an ambiance and decor that will make our production more magical than ever.<\/p>\n<p>Along with this wonderful news comes an extremely high rental and crew cost.
