The mission of this blog is to provide downloads of Invitation and Holiday Card templates that can be customized and printed at home. This offers great convenience to the customer, who will be able to download the chosen design in a matter of minutes, customize the design for their event or party just as quickly, print them up at home in whatever quantity is needed, and get them in the mail right away.
There’s an added bonus.
Because IPV Studio will not have to print the cards in house, pack them in shrink wrap for shipping, or consume more oil by putting the shipment on a truck or a plane to reach a customer who may be on the other side of the country, we begin to reduce our dependence upon oil and oil based products, easing the burden on Mother Earth.
And procrastinators whose party dates are quickly creeping up on them will not have to wait for their shipment to arrive.
But life doesn’t begin and end with Invitations and Holiday Cards, so I look forward to writing on other subjects that are dear to our hearts here at IPV Studio. I am enthusiastic about sustainable design and construction in all its many facets. As I write this, we are in the process of making as many changes as possible here at IPV Studio and in our household to reduce our consumption and our dependence on fossil fuels, enormous overtaxed energy grids and water supplies, and far reaching food distribution networks. This is the first year that we have transformed our urban backyard into a small farm and though I’ve made many mistakes in planting and care, Mother Earth is a good teacher and I learn as I go.
I am also a lifelong dance student and fan. I take class in ballet and contemporary dance, and I spend a lot of time in New York City dance theaters, being amazed by the incredible wealth of talent, tradition and innovation that make up our dance community. It’s also my great pleasure to serve in the “back office” of the DeMa Dance Company.
There will probably be talk of politics and the art world, together and separately.
It’s a privilege to have this little blank canvas on the Internet. Thank you for reading and please visit again.
